Libertys news gathered that a protest letter, have been sent to Ejeh Dekina by the 19 Onu Abocho contestants over the allegedly fraudulent and solo selection of one Mr. Jonah that Mr Governor of kogi state recently approved as the new Onu Abocho is unacceptable, and injustice they fumed.
The contestants from Oko Oyi has sent letter of protest to Eje of Dekina over the purported announcement of Jonah Okai Idris as Onu Abocho without due process, and they also caution the Dekina traditional rulers over their plans to hold a meeting on the 27th of October to perfect the endorsement.
It is on record that since the screening of the 20 contestants on 13/14 of September no council meeting has hold over the screening exercise so any plan to hold a meeting should be rejected and we therefore disagree with the purported announcement done via the office of the commissioner for local government and chieftain affair on the internet and not to add more injury to the slap on the people of Abocho and Igala land.
Any plan or plans to endorse, sign and back date any documents is forgery, criminal, fraudulent and unacceptable as the normal process must be followed.
The office of the Attah of Igala must be respected as the rightful person to submit the selected person to Kogi area traditional council before the governor. We therefore warn Jonah Okai Idris to stop parading himself as Onu Abocho, his desperation and money spending cannot make him the Onu Abocho, all we seek is due process or we shall proceed to defend our right in the court they said.
